Christmas Concert Schedule and Information

This is it! Please follow the schedule below, bring a meal if you plan to stay between the rehearsal and the performance. Most importantly, have a great time singing your heart out with your friends!

WEDNESDAY NOV 27   

Location: First Lutheran Church – 4091 Lakeshore Dr (Park in the church parking lot for this practice only)

Stage Set up: 6:30 p.m. SHARP – set up Risers, install skirt on stage 

Supervisor(s): Brian Dallin / Gary Durichen 

Bernard George, Peter Wilson, David Stevens, Arlan Anderson, Rick Slaughter, Shun & David with Rick    

Choir Practice: 7:00 – 9:00   – Please arrive and ready to sing by 7:00p.m.

FRIDAY NOV 29: ORCHESTRA & SOLOISTS ONLY         

THIS IS A CLOSED REHEARSAL

Location: Nazarene Church – 1305 HWY -33

Rehearsal: 7:00 – 9:00 

Doors open by 6:30 for 7:00p.m. start

SATURDAY NOV 30: MORNING CONCERT

Location: Christ Lutheran Church – 2091 Gordon Dr (Park across the street at the Bridge Church or A. A. Matheson School) NO PARKING AT CHRIST LUTHERAN – RESERVED FOR BUSES, SENIORS

CALL TIME:  9:20 a.m. sharp   ENTIRE CHOIR, ORATORS & ORCHESTRA

Warm up, practice entrance, exit, 

– Set up orchestra chairs, ushers for seniors –NOT A CHOIR MEMBER Need 2,   Collect donations at door – NOT A CHOIR MEMBER – must be available thru the entire performance

Donations for Door:  Derrick Donovan, (Peter Wilson ??)

Setup: Bernard George, David Stevens, Arlan Anderson

Choir Dress:  

Ladies – Long, floor or ankle length skirts, dresses, pants with black tops. Dressy style. Any length sleeve ok. Black stockings with black shoes.   Accessorise with quiet jewelry (no noisy bangles) Enjoy yourself – get fancy, sparkly jewelry ok 

Men – Black pants, Black dress shirt with black bowtie, black socks and shoes   Enjoy yourself – get fancy

Orchestra Dress:  As above                   Orators Dress: As above

Doors open at 10:15a.m.

Open Dress Concert  11:00 a.m. – 12:15p.m.

BREAKDOWN / CLEAN UP: MUST be completed and everyone out of the church by 12:45

At end of concert, approximately 12:15p.m. remove all programs from seating area, check to be sure bathrooms tidy, put chairs away, leave church and area clean! MUST BE out by 12:45!!!!

SATURDAY NOV 30: EVENING CONCERT 

Location: First Lutheran Church – 4091 Lakeshore Dr (Park at CNC 4105 Gordon Dr –  6 minute walk. NO PARKING AT FIRST LUTHERAN OR AT École De L’Anse-Au-Sable– RESERVED FOR AUDIENCE  (We are expecting over 500 people)

CALL TIME:  5:20 p.m. Three to the Bar, Soloists 

Sound Check: 5:30 Three to the Bar, soloists right after

CALL TIME:  ENTIRE CHOIR 5:45 p.m.  Meet in assembly room

NEED TWO PEOPLE TO DIRECT TRAFFIC FOR PARKING – MUST HAVE REFLECTIVE VESTS – Will ensure seniors have close parking, direct people to park at École De L’Anse-Au-Sable, Church Parking lot and finally CNC.    6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Doors Open: 6:30 p.m.

Concert:

Master of Ceremonies: Brian Dallin  

  7:00 p.m.  Three to the Bar    approximately 30 minute performance

CALL TIME:  7:00 p.m. ORCHESTRA & ORATORS

7:30 – 7:45 p.m. Intermission, Orchestra setup/warm up, help with stage setup if necessary (Brian Dallin, David Stevens, Arlan Anderson, Bernard George, plus..), choir enters 

7:50 p.m.  Kelowna Community Chorus with Orchestra & Orators   approximately 60 minute performance

8:55 p.m. Acknowledgements and Thank the audience 

9:00 p.m.  – 9:30 Break Down and Clean up 

At end of concert, take down the risers, remove the stage skirt, vacuum the sanctuary, remove all programs from seating area.
